Best Management Practices & Sustainability

Farming So the Next Generation Can, Too

We meet the USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) standards and use sustainable techniques across every acre we farm.

Sustainable Agriculture

How We Protect the Land

We use sustainable agriculture techniques to manage weeds, pests, disease, erosion, and soil health.

  • Crop rotations
  • Cover crops
  • Soil enrichment
  • Natural pest predators
  • Crop diversity
  • Best water-management practices
University of Florida Partnership

The Barn Owl Program

We participate in the University of Florida's Barn Owl nesting program, which provides nests for barn owls. These owls deliver natural rodent control. They reduce the rats and mice that damage crops and equipment.

Predator pest control decreases our need for poisonous pest products, creating a more organic environment for crops to thrive.

Natural Rodent Control

A single barn owl family can remove thousands of rodents in a single nesting season, protecting crops without chemicals.

Why It Matters

The Benefits of Sustainable Farming

Environmental Preservation

Protecting soil, water, and habitat for the long term.

Long-Term Profitability

Healthy land and efficient inputs keep the farm viable for generations.

Efficient Use of Resources

Making the most of non-renewable resources through precision farming.

Public Health Protection

Fewer chemicals and rigorous food-safety standards protect everyone.

Water Management

Following South Florida Water Management District best practices.

Social & Economic Equity

Fair, responsible farming that gives back to the community.
